Ok so I have never SUPER gotten the whole Gerard Butler thing.

This made it a little clearer though. Love The Doors. It was a bit of a melting moment for me. The accent too, that doesn't hurt.

Ralph Fiennes is Bomb.

Back in February it was announced that Ralph Fiennes would be making his directorial debut with a contemporary version of Shakespeare's "Coriolanus". It has been announced from the on-going American Film Market this week that Gerard Butler has been cast to star opposite Fiennes.

Butler will play Tullus Aufidius, the commander of the Volscian army. The cast already includes William Hurt, Eddie Marsan, Jessica Chastain and Vanessa Redgrave. Shooting will start this upcoming March in Serbia.

"Coriolanus" set in the early years of the Roman Republic, although it sounds like Fiennes has contemporized it instead. The story follows Roman military leader Caius Martius, who returns home from a war against the Volscans as a war hero with a new last name, Coriolanus, given for the city of Corioles which he conquered. However, after an attempt at political office turns sour, he is banished from Rome as a traitor. Hungry for revenge, Coriolanus becomes leader of the Volscan army and marches to the gates of Rome, but is stopped at the last minute.

So excited about this. WAY more excited about this than the Catherine Hardwick contemporary version of "Hamlet" with Emilie Hirsch. I mean, excited about that, but Ralph Fiennes > Emile Hirsch. Times a million.

This is Gerard Butler at the premiere of his new movie "Law Abiding Citizen" in LA last night. I probably won't go see it. Sad. He needs to make better movies, because I like him.

Badass Gerard.

This one is for my roommate Katie. She loves Gerard Butler- literally loses her shit every time he's mentioned. I'm assuming this will be no exception.

Gerard is in an upcoming movie, along with Jamie Foxx, called "Law Abiding Citizen" where he plays "a brilliant sociopath who orchestrates a series of high-profile murders that grip the city of Philadelphia – all from inside his jail cell – and the prosecutor assigned to his case who realizes he is the only one who can end the reign of terror.”

Love Gerard badass. Is he ever anything but? Even when he was in that cheesy ass "P.S. I Love You" he was still badass. It's the Phantom complex. I always see him as the Phantom.

"Law Abiding Citizen" comes out Oct. 16th.
