Here's my question- why does no one wear Lakers stuff to the LAKERS game. I'll tell you why- yeah, the like basketball and all that, but they love being pretty more. And attention, can't forget about that. Because in Hollywood, what other reason is there to get courtside seats to the Lakers besides attention? Waste. What a waste.
They're playing a game, but not the one you'd think. They are playing the pretty game, to see who can look the prettiest.
So Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder from "The Vampire Diaries" (what are they doing there?), David Beckham, Adam Levine, Jonah Hill, Zac Efron (of course) and some dude from Nickleodeon- actual name Ryan Rottman, but I don't know if I would take the time to memorize that. Probably not worth it.

Seventeen...Again.
This is why I stopped getting Seventeen, after I turned sixteen. They always have whomever is the latest upcoming, yet will be nobody in a few years, teeny bopper (how many times has Vanessa Hudgens been on the cover?) talking about how they used to be unpopular in high school.
Gag me. Now Nina Dobrev from "The Vampire Diaries" is on the cover talking about her co-stars, and ooo 'possible romances'. Gag me. But notice how she can't stop talking about Ian Somerhalder.

On what it’s like hanging out with co-stars Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder: “They’re both really great in different kinds of ways. Paul definitely takes his job very seriously He’s very professional. Ian’s the prankster, the jokester. He makes light of every moment, and he’s very exciting and cool. He has the best stories, because he has just experienced so much, and he’s been on so many cool sets and movies. I’m so lucky that they’re great people and we love each other’s company.”
On if she has any rules when it comes to dating a costar: “I think it could definitely get sticky if you dated your costar. To be completely honest, dating an actor is very complicated. There’s a lot of vanity involved. And they’re in their head, and they’re kind of crazy. And you’re always surrounded by beautiful people. I would prefer not to date an actor.”
But seriously, just look at the cover "teaser" headlines to see why Seventeen is what's wrong with the youth of today: "My mom hooks up with guys MY age!" (that's my personal favorite), "Is your period normal?" and "FREE lip gloss!".
And isn't EVERY issue a hair issue? The overuse of exclamations alone is enough to make you feel ill.

Love Hurts.
The cast of "The Vampire Diaries" is on the cover of Nylon magazine this month. It's part of a 2 day space in the month where all the new magazine covers start popping up online, days I anxiously await.
Paul on the success of his show: “Do I think the show would be successful as it is, if it weren’t for Twilight? No.”
Ian on working on independent movies after Lost: “I fell off the face of the f—ing planet. I thought I was being cool and edgy, and it seemed like something Johnny Depp ould have done 15 years ago. Wrong. Biggest Mistake.”
Ian on his VD character Damon: “This is gonna be the coolest character on television. There was no doubt about it. It reminded me of Sawyer, Josh Holloway's character on Lost. He was always the character I secretly wished I could play.”
I was really upset when he died off on LOST.

Yeah I Know, But...Eh.
I know Ian Somerhalder is attractive. I know. He is even my favorite character on my guilty pleasure "Vampire Diaries". He's the only one who isn't doing the whole full of themselves, I'm so serious and tortured thing. He's funny, but also kills people. This combo is better than the first.
Yet somehow he is just one of those people I look at and I'm like, 'yes, he's HOT, I know, but...ehhh'.
Like Ryan Reynolds. I know he's hot. But...ehh. I just wouldn't go there, he doesn't do it for me. I can't figure it out. Maybe with Ian it's because he looks like Bill Hader if Bill Hader were attractive. Am I the only one that sees that? Maybe if you squint a bit.
Anyways, here is what the yes hot, but would I do him no Ian had to say to August Man magazine:
On his ideal role: “The one I’m doing right now, actually.”
On keeping his private life private: “It’s all very simple, actually. I’ve been left alone for the most part really. It doesn’t seem that what I do off the set is of importance to anyone!”
His ideal role is being on the CW? Maybe that's why I don't find him attractive- I'm repelled by desperation and patheticness.
