PS- that commercial BP put together, supposedly an apology, a "let's work together" video? The one that ISN'T airing in the states affected by the Gulf spill? I saw it four times when I was on vacation in South Carolina, and I barely watched TV while I was there.

"Hey- people who don't live in the Gulf, and probably aren't monetarily affected by it- call this number to make a claim." WTF BP. WTF.

Oil Spill's Environmental Consequences.

Not exactly gossipy fodder, but it's important to focus on these issues too- the oil spill in Louisiana is obviously going to have big effects for the whole of the US, especially Florida, where the oil might spread to, and oil drilling is kind of a big issue.

I hate oil.
