Get Zach an Emmy!

As everyone who reads this blog knows, we're huge HUGE Friday Night Lights fans. So naturally we are in l-o-v-e love with Zach Gilford.

Popeater.com is pushing to get him nominated for an Emmy. Totally for this, so I decided we would officially promote it.

This is a link to their Facebook campaign. If Betty White can do it, this has got to do something, right? I mean, Matt has had to deal with a TON already this season- working for Panther Pizza, his dad (spoiler alert!) dying and mostly that idiot J.D. McDick riding around being generally an asshole.

Sorry. His real name is J.D. McCoy. I feel like I should clear that up for people who don't watch the show.

Heartless Bastards and Friday Night Lights.

Friday Night Lights is amazing. It's simple. The best show ever. It combines everything, and makes it amazing. It even has great music.

You can preview "Friday Night Lights: Volume 2" HERE. It includes a track from Heartless Bastards, who I incidently just saw in concert in Paris with Brendan Benson. It was AMAZING. They are the kind that are even better live. So amazing. Since we were pretty much the only people in the hall who spoke english, I talked for a bit with the lead singer, Erika for a bit after the show. Really spacy, but very sweet- she grew up in Ohio, around Dayton, and now the band is in Austin, Texas. Also, she drank red wine on stage, instead of beer like most guys in bands do. I think that's real classy.

Broken Heart.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! My heart is...broken. In a million pieces.

Taylor Kitsch is leaving "Friday Night Lights" after this season. I know. Tears. He really was the spark of that show. For a Canadian with absolutely no acting experience, he really did wonders as Tim Riggins.

Executive producer Jason Katims told TV Guide Magazine that,

“Because this was a big opportunity for him, we wanted to let him do that. We’ll stay in close contact with production and try to get him for as many episodes as possible.”

The Determined.

I almost passed out when I saw this. Can I wait until the spring when NBC decides they can squeeze this in their lineup? I don't think so.

Why is this show constantly in jeopardy? It's not fair. Just watch, you'll see what I mean.

New FNL Faces.

So it seems as though "Friday Night Lights" is getting a whole lot of new cast members this season.

Not sure how I feel about this, but I have faith. I trust those who brought us the Taylors and Tim Riggins (love...oh love him).

Here are the new faces, and old faves after the jump. Seriously though- what is up with that Jurnee Smollett (that name makes me feel violent) girl? Look at her face in the second picture. Just look at it. Feeling I might hate her more than stupid Amy.

More Friday Night Love

Love FNL, mainly because anyone can relate to a character. I loved this "essay". I promise you I was crying when Tyra read it.

Le sigh. Me too (nearly, at least). Tyra is my fave. Hate Julie and Lyla. Arg. Can't wait to watch this in...whenever I finally get to watch this.

Friday Night Love.

Even though I won't get to watch it, I'm just excited that it's still on the air. Thank God for the modicum of good taste that is still out there. Perhaps this is the year FNL finally gets the ratings it deserves?

I wish I had direct tv so badly. Le sigh.

Our Favorite Friday Nights.

Ok, so here's an article that give some information on the direction Friday Night Lights will be taking next spring when it comes back to TV, courtesy of everyone's favorite principal, Connie Britton as Mrs. Tami Taylor.

This is a gift that a lot of wonderful shows never got (ahem Veronica Mars) so watch it. Do your part to keep it on the air. If I had something I had to do before it came on on Fridays, I left my TV on so that they would still get ratings. I convinced a bunch of girls on my floor to leave their TV's on too.

If you love the show, you have to get creative. Especially since Taylor Kitsch is going to get more and more expensive to keep. Thank God Mira Kelley is slowly fading into the background. Now if Julie would just stop being so damn annoying.

If Taylor Kitsch is from Mars...

I'm moving there. Our favorite Panther's career is finally getting to where we all knew it deserves to be. Disney just confirmed that Taylor will star in their Pirates of the Caribbean-esque big budget film "John Carter of Mars", the first live action film by Andrew Stanton, the director of Pixar favorites, and my personal favorites, "Finding Nemo" and "WALL-E". The film is an adaptation of the series by Edgar Rice Burroughs, and Kitsch is a civil war veteran who is transported to Mars to fight in an epic war between the planet's opposing races.

Sounds a little far fetched, but...if TK is starring in it? I'm the first in line. Watch FNL, you'll understand.
