Baby for Mad Men Star.

Ok, they may be the CUTEST couple I have ever seen in my life. Rich Sommer, who plays ad exec Harry Crane on "Mad Men" and his wife Virginia, have announced the arrival of a son!

The new son, named Patrick Ryan Sommer, was born on Tuesday, August 31, in Los Angeles. Weighing in at 7 lbs., 9 oz. and 21 inches long, he's the Sommers second child -- they also have two-year-old daughter Beatrice.

"We are loving hanging with our happy, healthy baby boy, and appreciate our family and friends joining us in celebrating this exciting time,” said Sommer, 32, in a statement. “Also, he looks way better than I do in a onesie.”

Congratulations!

Stone Sundays.

I guess the Sunday shows are really getting all the hype from Rolling Stone this year. Last month was the controversial combo of bloody/naked for "True Blood". They're mad for "Mad Men" and four members- really, the only four that matter- are featured on the latest cover.

The show picked up two Emmy's, one for Outstanding Drama and the other for Outstanding Writing For A Drama Series.
"You have to be mentally acute for a significant period of time," Hamm says, "and that becomes pretty draining."

He adds about his real life, "I fly very low on the radar. Mark Twain said it: 'I'd rather say nothing and be thought an idiot than open my mouth and remove all doubt.' Another Missouri boy, Mark Twain. The petulant, sh–ty movie-star mentality - that burns out pretty quick."
On the "Mad Men" front, check out this pic of Sally Draper, Kiernan Shipka, at a movie premiere last month.
That hair...is bad. Poor girl. I've been where she is. But at least she's not addicted to drugs and out clubbing like Drew Barrymore was at her age. Or Lindsay Lohan.

So bad hair really isn't so bad when you compare it to that.

Mad Men Returns.

I love Mad Men. July 25, here I come. Can't wait for season 4 to start, although I heard that beyotch Sally Draper is coming on as a series regular.
Mistake. That kid is a sociopath.

John Hamm Goes to the Dolls.

I hate Barbie dolls, on principle. But these...I think I might be able to make an exception for these. I mean, if I had 75 bucks to just randomly drop.
Given the doll treatment will be the Draper duo, Don and Betty, played by John Hamm and January Jones, the gorgeous Christina Hendricks' Joan, and Roger Sterling himself, John Slattery.

So dashing, non? Season 4 of "Mad Men" premieres this summer.

Mad for Christina Kendricks

"Mad Men" has become my new obsession- I'd watched a few episodes before, but I knew I could never start it until I was prepared to finish it. I am nearly all the way through the third season, and I have to say, probably my favorite character is Joan.

Christina Hendricks, how awesome is she? She was at the 2010 Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Award Party on Sunday. She is also in the running to play Ginger in the upcoming "Gilligan's Island" movie. SO PERFECT.

It's Mad Men's World...

Love Jon Hamm. I am most disappointed with myself in that I don't religiously watch "Mad Men". I've seen a few episodes, and Megan has explained enough to me, but...le sigh. Keeping up with shows is such hard work. I shall try harder though, I swear. I see gorgeous like this and I am reminded to try harder.

Love that Elisabeth Moss is marrying Fred Armisen. I want to be at that wedding, could you imagine? Wonder how they make the L.A./N.Y. thing work.

Here is the gist of the interview:

Hamm on his longtime girlfriend: “Jen Westfeldt, and I and our dog, Cora, live in Los Feliz, where there are quite a few places we like to go….We’re mostly neighborhood types. There’s also a place in Atwater Village called Palate Food + Wine that’s really good.”
Hamm on his hit AMC show: “It’s like a nice novel you can kind of sit and pay attention to. The [show] is not meant to be on while you’re doing dishes, it’s meant to be enjoyed and savored and focused on, and it rewards that attention… We’re fortunate in a lot of ways that Mad Men is not watched by 15 million people a week, because there would be an expectation to appeal to a much broader section of the demographic, and I think the character would have to make different choices to be appealing to that demographic. We are fortunate in that – on our show- we can stay true to the character and his very difficult choices.”

Moss on her upcoming marriage to SNL’s Fred Armisen: “I think we’ve decided (we’ll get married) this fall. It’s not that far off, and it’s fun planning a wedding – nothing but an amazing experience for us. We agree on everything, so that’s good. It’s going to be a really fun special day, and I can’t wait. We both can’t wait.”
