British Actors are Boring.

Welsh born actor Anthony Hopkins who is best known for his role in Silence of the Lambs, although around here he is better known for his role in the first Zorro movie. Love Sir Anthoney in that one.

I went to America years ago because I felt I didn't fit in here in England. I worked with some good people, like Judi Dench but I never fitted in to a group of actors. I was on the outside; I was like a sore thumb. I didn't have any friends who were actors at all; I never did. I was always on the outside.

Yeah- go America! We got Sir Anthony.

It was difficult being in London in this very strange acting community. All that, "Theatre darling" -- I just found it insufferable. It was f***ing boring. So I moved to America and did what I'd wanted to do my whole life -- make movies.

Sir Anthony and I have something in common- we hate theater people. I've only been in high school productions, but it's enough, trust. It was enough to make me drop my Improv class this semester. One class and I was like, hell no- I cannot work with these people. Tell them that while Le Mis WAS awesome, it did not change your life forever...just watch the jaws drop and the noses turn up- simultaneously. It's a feat.
