Holy smokes! Harry Potter's Bonnie Wright is all grown up! Also, I feel like those cheeks might be photoshopped, because she looks 40.
Harry is marrying a HOTTIE. Watch out for Ginny Weasly.

Dangerous Wands.
I'm getting really excited for the last Harry Potter movie. Too excited.
Also, even though it's a joke, I would probably go see this.

J.K. Rowling Helped Luna Overcome Anorexia.
It is being reported that Harry Potter star Evanna Lynch, who plays fan favorite Luna Lovegood, has come out and said that J.K. Rowling helped her through her anorexia by sending her letters of encouragement.
Apparently, Lynch had suffered from the age of 11 and wrote Rowling to thank her for the books, which gave her "hope".
Lynch told Britain's The Sun, "I told her the books gave me hope, particularly Luna Lovegood. I told how I looked up to her. She wrote back and was like a counsellor."
"She told me anorexia is destructive, not creative, and the brave thing was not to succumb to it. I told her I'd love to be in the films and she encouraged that but said I'd need to be well to do so. In the end I think that's why I recovered."

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
SO COOL. I cannot wait to go to this. I think I've waited my whole life to taste butter beer. It feels that way. I was literally sitting open mouthed watching that. I may not want to go, because I will literally spend a million dollars there.
On a less geeky note, why is Emma Watson the only one speaking? Hilarious. Total boys, but you know they loved it. Robbie Coltrane, James Phelps, Matthew Lewis and Oliver Phelps...ALMOST all the boys of HP. Two very important ones missing. Wonder why they couldn't make the trip. Anyways. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter Theme Park opens June 18.
Cannot wait. Cannot.

Harry Potter Must Not Be a Silly Actor!
Say the title in a high Dobby voice, and you will die laughing. Love Dobby! Aww. Dobby. Anyways, before I cry, here's a quote Daniel gave the Daily Star:"I hate celebrity culture but I’m unavoidably part of it. These people are celebrities as a by-product of what they do. People read every little thing about Peter Andre and Jordan and I couldn’t care less. They don’t want to work, have no interests, no passions, nothing and yet they seem to be held up on pedestals. I don’t think they should be trying to push themselves onto us. It does annoy me of course, but I’m part of it."
I love Daniel Radcliffe! This is exactly how I feel. It sounds ironic, I know- but the point is, we don't (or try not to) blog about people who don't matter. Lindsay Lohan, Leanne Rimes, Miley Homewrecker, so on and so forth. People who have nothing to give to the world except their celebrity.
Also- check this out, someone is holding up a picture they got developed at Costco for him to sign. How cute is that? I kind of love him in this leather jacket too. Very sexy.
Daniel Radcliffe has been talking about how he doesn't party with the rest of the HP cast anymore because he is trying to be a more serious actor. “I used to play a lot of pranks in the past but I want to be a more mature, serious actor now. I don’t get involved with drinking or partying with the cast anymore.”
This is in serious contrast to a popYEAH! favorite and Harry Potter co-star Rupert Grint.

"When I'm drunk I like to cause mischief. I'll steal props like the broomsticks from the Harry Potter set and bring them out to the pub for comedy value. It seems funny at the time. Trouble is I usually get too trashed to remember what happened the next day."
Le sigh. I had such high hopes for him. I am slightly worried him. A ginger's future is already so bleak, he better get serious about his career before he wakes up hung over one morning and the Ron Weasley glow has worn off.

Happy Birthday to My Favorite Ginger!

Rupert Grint, duh, is 21 today. That really doesn't mean much unless you're from the States, but still- HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
This is the first time popYEAH! has celebrated a celebrity's day of birth and possibly the last, but it's Ron, guys. Ron. We love him and Rupert. Like, distinguishing between the two, I like them both a lot.
Remember my smile theory? Glad, he's got some color and that hair has a little less fire.
-TM
Update: When, I went back to find the smile theory, I realized I also celebrated Daniel Radcliffe's birthday... Wow.

I was never this young
Have you ever thought that? At 18, I think this constantly - despite pictorial evidence and first hand accounts that I one was. Every year, I am more and more convinced that certain heights, weights, years have been fast forwarded to now. Because, the thought of me being ten years old... eight years ago is way too weird.Today, Daniel Radcliffe turns 20. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Crazy to see him, Rupert and Emma looking so young. I always forget how young they were when they started the Harry's.
Courtney and I always so how happy we are to no longer be 13 to 15, but somedays I do wonder if I enjoyed it more than I hate it now. Hmmmmm...

I sound old and I'm less than a month from 19. Maybe, I really am an old soul.
Call me grandma, cause I'm about to take a nap.
-TM
PS. Maybe after the age of ten, our smiles never change. Look at each of them and disprove this theory.
The smile thing is so true!!! Weird. Yeah. Hated those few years- everything I remember makes me cringe and think, "how was I ever so lame??!" I actually went to an Aaron Carter concert. My life-long shame. Le sigh, youth.

Harry Potter and the Paste Takeover.
For those of you that had your interests in the Hogwarts clan re-ignited by last nights stellar premiere, here's a format.Paste Magazine has done what they did earlier for Bob Dylan and Wilco (as covered here: http://popyeahct.blogspot.com/2009/06/save-paste.html) and declared a Harry Potter takeover, once again assurin
g me that Paste is the shiz.I can't even tell you all the awesome stuff they have on the site, so I'll skim for you: Interviews with the stars, real Quiddich teams that are trying to recreate the sport (without flying brooms), Harry Potter courses in Universities, as well as the Super Impossible Harry Potter Trivia Quiz.
We'll see about that.
Check it out here:

4th and Final Goes to Potter.
GET YOUR HANDS OFF MY DAUGHTER YOU BITCH!hahahahaha I think we all remember that classic Mrs. Weasley line. I was all nighting it reading the book, it was maybe 4 am and I was laughing so hard I fell off my bed.
How gorgeous is this cast? Amazing. Twilight cast never looks this chic and cohesive. I look at this picture and there's no comparison. None. Ever. For all time. Especially Ginny. She is gorg. If I had to have red hair, I would be her. God forbid though.

Take 3.
Kristen Stewart...well, I think we've all seen the way she conveys her...uh...words, you see it's like...thoughts...are so...um, it's like, ahhh...Put in a few tick-like running of her hands through her hair and you get the idea.
Lets just say Emma Watson is miles, zillion and zillions of miles above Kristen. Or kilometers. Zillions of km's. She even stopped and took some pictures with a couple fans outside of the show. Kristen is way too awkward for that. She would probably call it method. Same thing.
Daniel Radcliffe is going on Letterman tonight so...we'll see how that goes. He might not be able to top Robert Pattinson's appearance, and Take 4 might go askew. But I have faith.
But for now, Harry Potter is greater than Twilight, Take 3. I'm on vacation tomorrow, so no blogging de moi, unless there I have some late night inspiration. Doubt it.

Ladies Kiss and Tell, Take 2
First off, I love this dress. This is Emma Watson arriving to David Letterman the other day. Isn't it just so...lesigh. I wish I was her soon-to-be lucky beyotch of a room mate so I could raid her closet. You know she'd be super nice about it too.So, you know you love it, but Emma said this of her kiss with Rupert Grint:
"I pounced on him," but she also goes on to say that she was, "desperate to get it over with."
This is Take 2 of why Harry Potter is so, SO much better than Twilight. There is none of that "oooo Kristin and Rob have to be together, it's so perfect, so much DRAMA!" Shiz that people are trying to pull off...
Puh-lease. Shoot them. Harry Potter is about the story, not the drama. Like Theo referenced She's Just Not That Into You the other day. Point? Girls are all about the drama. Paying the bills late just for a thrill, that kind of thing.
Some girls at least. Glad to know Emma is not one of them. This is just one of many, many reasons why the greatness lies with the Hogwarts crew.

Harry Potter > Twilight, Take 1
Ahahaha I love it when anything like this happens. Twilight is too big for its Stephenie Meyers- horrible writing britches. So whenever Twilight gets slapped in the face, even a little, even for something so minuscule as this...well, we have to get our kicks somewhere. It's the little things that count.
Daniel Radcliffe has not seen Twilight. Everyone has made this huge deal about comparing Twilight and Harry Potter, and Harry Potter himself could not care less.
He did say is that he enjoyed working with Robert (Pattinson). Whatever.

The New Kid In Town.
I had the hardest time finding pictures of this kid, Jamie Campbell Bower. I have a feeling these days are soon over. I remember being in love with him in Sweeney Todd. It just didn't stick. But now he's going to be in Twilight, of course, as Caius, and the final two Harry Potter's as the younger version of Gellert Grindlewald, the dark wizard defeated by Albus Dumbledore. He is going to be HUGE, I can already tell. Although, that's what everyone thought about Prince Caspian, Ben Barnes. He's kind of disappeared. So I guess we'll see, but I'm a fan.
Here's what I've learned about him so far: He's 20 years old, apparently the lead singer in the band The Darling Buds (not a bad name), he apparently likes photography if the below photo is any judge, and...that's pretty much it. But here's betting that in a few months we know everything from his favorite color to how he likes his sandwiches. Oh the joys of teenBOP.

Reading is Sexy.
Anyone remember when Hermoine Granger was homely? Kind of had beaver teeth? Thus is the glitz and glamour of movies, that Hermoine is no more, and really hasn't been since the first Harry Potter. Emma Watson is gracing the cover of Teen Vogue, and once again, there is no comparison to any other cover they have ever had.Emma is the girl who gives hope to all the bookish women of the world who know that there is more to culture than wearing a sparkle tube top while club hopping in Europe on your semester abroad.
Teen Vogue has been consistently moving in a more refined, glamorous direction, much more like it's more mature counterpart than ever before, and I think we see the culmination of that direction in this breathtakingly beautiful photo shoot. Cate Blanchett worthy, but with more...whimsy. Yeah, I said it. Whimsy.
The best part about Emma Watson? Not only is she completely serious about college, and being an English major (like yours truly), she wants to do it right- she will be living in the freshman dorms with a roommate. Whomever that lucky girl may be...I'm jealous. Imagine raiding that closet. Or very tiny cabinet, as the case usually is with college dorms. Fingers crossed for Yale ladies and gents!

Gives Me Hope.
Here's a website we should all get behind. Yes, we all love laughing at how much other people's lives suck on FML, but I find that this...makes me feel better. Even me, everyone's favorite cynic. But even I would never thwart any genuine attempt to make the world a better place.http://www.givesmehope.com/
Gives Me Hope was started by Emerson Spartz and his fiance, Gaby Montero. Spartz is the owner and CEO of Mugglenet.com, the most popular and Harry Potter fansite, even praised by J.K. Rowling herself. He started it as a homeschooled 12 year old, where I'm guessing positive thinking got him a long way. 'Yeah, it sucks that I'm homeschooled, but now I have the time/I am smart enough to start my own website that will make me very rich at a young age.' He didn't say that, I'm speculating. He and his fiance are also recent Notre Dame graduates. Yes, they are only 22. Makes me feel like a dose of GMH right now.

Here's a sample of the kind of story that is on GML:
Today I was going out for a coffee with my boyfriend. On the way I passed a homeless man and gave him $5. When I got to Starbucks my boyfriend dumped me. I walked home crying, and when I passed the homeless man he told me how sorry he was, and offered to buy me a coffee. He used the $5 I gave him, and smiled proudly as he handed over the money. GMH
Also here's a news story the local South Bend station did on them, very cute.
http://www.wsbt.com/home/video/48166137.html
***Sidenote: I realize this is ironic after what I wrote about Miley Cyrus. Whatever. She Gives Me Anger. GMA. There isn't a website for that, so I expressed it here. I'm sure she'll dry her tears with all that money she's making from people's bad taste. Cyrus = the opposite of GMH.
