 Not sure if I said so after I watched Super 8, but Elle Fanning is my new style icon. She is so, so cool. Just essential style and cool. The kind you have to be born with. Just look at these pictures.

Alexa Back in Action.

Alexa Chung for Madewell. Have we not been waiting for this day for so long? I can't shop. I can't.

I have dreadfully missed my Alexa since her show was-untimely and cruelly- cut from MTV. Probably so they could make room for more Jersey Shore reruns. Ugh.

Her line will be in stores starting September 11.

It's On Again with Alexa Chung.

ALEXA CHUNG. The coolest girl on the planet...and the only girl who could pull off this outfit. She's been in hiding since her show was cancelled (big mistake MTV- HUGE) and I love love love seeing her out and about again!

Also appropriate for the MET ball I think. You don't have to wear a big fluffy sparkly Anne Hathaway dress to be gorgeous.

Beat Her to It!

Courtney is now awaking up around when I'm going to sleep, she's naturally getting a jump on all of the good gossip that I have a ten hour delay on. But, I think I've beat her to this one. Her beloved Alexa Chung is design a line for J. Crew owned, Madewell. Apparently, she was all over the company's inspiration board and an old roommate set up the meeting. Can't wait to see what she does! Hopefully, it won't be too overpriced. Madewell can also be found on shopbop.

MTV host of "It's On With Alexa Chung", and current style icon of mine Alexa Chung recently did a spread for V magazine that is gorgeous. Absolutely amazing. Stunning.

I could go on for years with the adjectives. Love her so much. She was wearing Dolce & Gabbana and Chanel and posed for photographer Sharif Hamza.

This is what she had to tell them:

On It’s On jitters: “I’m worried my guests won’t like me.”
On making friends in a new environment: “I don’t really have any friends in America…I just don’t tolerate douche bags”
On her new place: “I think my apartment is too shiny. I just found out that (Vampire Diaries') Ian Somerhalder used to live in it. And the other day when I was in the laundry room, I heard that Michael Douglas' son is looking to move into the building.”

I want to be Alexa's American friend. I'm not a d-bag, I SWEAR. Also, why do I feel like she is specifically referencing John Mayer?

East Coast vs. West Coast

Last night was a classic East Coast/West Coast Hollywood showdown. Elle magazine hosted its 16th Annual Women in Hollywood Tribute in California in Beverley Hills, while NYC hosted the 2009 Whitney Museum Gala.

Besides, the lovely Alexa Chung, who was probably in NYC filming - the West Coast won hands down. Too bad not even the amazingness of Alexa cannot cancel out a double dose of Taylor Momsen and Lindsay Lohan. It's crazy. Alexa is a year older than Lohan and almost a decade older than Momsen. Really, it's hard to believe. Those two are slowly morphing into one cranked out skankface. It's really scary. They're just so washed out.

Le sigh. Love Alexa. Hate how effortlessly perfect she is. I wish I was half Chinese.

• Wow, in person, you sure do you have great skin.
  Thanks. It's because I’m half Chinese.
• What are some of the beauty products you can’t live without?
  Hmm. I don't wear much makeup. I literally never get spots. Literally. I’ve had them about one time in my life. I’m just saying, it has nothing to do with products. That’s all crap. I drink water and I have good genes. I do use Declèor. They have an oil that’s really nice because I have really dry skin actually.
• When did you decide to make winged eyeliner your signature look?
  I don’t think I have ever decided. It just happens, every day because I’m really boring and I don’t know what else to do! When I realized it made my eyes look better, I just stuck with it.
• Who are some of your beauty icon inspirations?
  I’ve always loved 60's women like Jane Birkin and Julie Christie, and this type of make up (winged eyeliner) literally suits me better than shit 80's makeup. I look shit in lipstick too. I think if I looked alright in (dark) lipstick that would be my thing.

Break from the Books

LONDON FASHION WEEK!

So, excited. New York is more high profile, but I love the UK. Hopefully, I'll get to go to LFW one day. But, here is Emma. Emma Watson. She's taking a break from Brown to attend the Burberry show. Talk about a trip home - I usually just veg on the couch... in my sweats.

Along with Emma, one of popYEAH!'s favorite couples was out on the town. Dev and Frieda, love them.

Alexa's Night Out.

Megan is constantly begging for more Alexa, so here she is, as promised. She attended Miu Miu's celebration of Fashion's Night Out on Thursday in New York City.

LOVE her shoes. I am not a shoe person, but I am dying over these. So cute, a look so many try at (Lindsay Lohan) and tragically fail. Also the cameo necklace is a sweet touch.

Love Alexa. Love her fashion, glad it got a night out.

Alexa is Aces, Just Aces.

My sister has been on me to write another blog about Alexa Chung, so I found a video on her MTV site where she sings a line of Ace of Base's "All That She Wants", which is perfect, because Meg and I lived for Ace of Base when we were younger. Our car trips were all about Ace of Base, even if it was just up to the grocery store.

Ace of Base is the first kind of music I can remember liking, and I say that with much pride.

I also attached Alexa's interview with Alexis Bledel on August 20th. It's creeping me out how alike they are. First of all- the name. Second- their shoes. They are wearing almost the exact same shoes. Both former models. Brunette and pale.

However, Alexa is slightly more...outgoing. Less fidgety I guess. But OMG how funny does Alexis get when she's translating? Adorable. Very adorable girls.

Alexa, My Hero.

As one of our sister blogs, aWAKEning reported earlier, Alexa Chung is the ish. After I read their article, I was curious, and caught the show one day.

Now I have to warn: before this show, I had a strict absolutely no-MTV policy. Their shows provoke an uncontrollable anger in me, and I have learned that it's better for those around me if I stay away. The Real World (they were terrible after Hawaii), Parental Control? Remember that one where someone would go on a date with your mom and then decide who they wanted to go out with? Interesting social experiments, I admit, but horrible, horrible examples of humanity. A showcase of people who need to be neutered.

I made an exception for It's On With Alexa Chung, and I am so glad I did. She is so funny! Maybe it's her British accent, or her awesome clothes...it's all of it. She is just the ultimate ish.

Alexa Chung is my new hero, joining Zooey Deschanel. Oddly enough they are both dating musicians. Does that say something about me?

I am currently watching on Top Chef with Zooey as a guest. Will blog about that later.
