What will happen tonight? Something has to, MTV's ratings depend on it. Will Kanye confront Taylor? Will Taylor sing a song about Kanye???
He's been tweeting his remorse- probably egging on the hype more than the gossips.
Have I mentioned I was on his side? Beyonce really did have the better video, and I've heard from some good sources that Taylor is a demanding be-yotch. Ie a friend who was assigned to be her bodyguard/bitch boy at the ND game last week.
We soon shall see.

The Best Birth Control Ever
The title says it all. Yup, this is Samantha from 16 and Pregnant in labor. Don't worry. It's not the bad Kardashian style, but trust me- you'll be scarred for life. But, the second time you'll laugh.

Just Save the Extra Letters
So, I'm watching 16 and Pregnant! I love this show. I'm 7.43 seconds in and I've already heard a line I'm never going to forget. Samantha's sitting around with her friend. They're talking about what they did when she told them about her pregnancy. One girl said she bawled her eyes out because of all the things they'd planned to do during their senior year. Then, the worst line ever in the history of television was uttered by some girl that she just go die.
Samantha and Eric have already decided to name their daughter - Jordan. Actually, they'll be spelling like this Jordynn. Yup, with the y and double n. Seriously, you're just asking for a lower test scores. Part of the reason my mom gave me my name was because she read an article about sexism and racial profiling in school based on names. I bet Jordan and Jordynn are three points apart - probably more in an English class. We'll see how it goes. The couple seems happy - at least they're still together... for now. Sorry, I really just had to add that for people that watch the show.
Oh, apparently the mom Samantha's mom is pregnant. This seems to happen way too often.

"You can't really prevent pregnancy."
I'm sorry. I cannot get over that. Has she never seen this show? Forget the show, has she never heard of birth control or condoms?! I was glad when the pregnant girl correctted that wasted of space ignorant hoe. Samantha and Eric have already decided to name their daughter - Jordan. Not So Sweet Dreams
Beyonce at MTV's European Music Awards (EMA's). She performed the newest single off I am... Sasha Fierce, "Sweet Dreams." I loveeeee the song. Seriously, it gets me moving, but this performance- not so much. I hate whenever I don't get to hear an entire song. She looked hot, but wish she'd done the video (after the jump) more justice.

Taylor's Acceptance Speech
Love Beyonce more after the second time.
Kanye has since apologized. It's like the football player that punched someone after a game - what I did was justified, but I guess I'm sorry:
I cannot believe he said, "MUCH RESPECT!!!!!". Idiot.
-TM
I hate it when people write notes in all caps. Is he screaming this? Too lazy/stupid to turn off the caps on his computer? Or does he just think that what he has to say is too important to practice proper punctuation?

Someone with Some Class
God bless Beyonce. She's the only person, besides Claire and I, worthy of Jay - Z's love.

Towards the end of the VMA, Beyonce's invited Taylor Swift on stage to have her moment and to accept her award (without Kanye). Beyonce said she remembered winning her first VMA with Destiny Child and wanted Taylor to have the same moment.
The videos not up yet, but here's Taylor covering Beyonce's Irreplaceable. Love when she says truck instead of car.

Who Do You Think You Are?
Rude is my number one pet peeve. Kanye West is a rude bastard. His mother would be ashamed - that was a low blow, but it's true.
Dear Kanye,
Beyonce doesn't want your endorsement. You sold out and since your single for 'Homecoming,' your stuff's been weak. You can't carry a track alone, while Taylor can. JERKFACE!
Sincerely, popYEAH!
What was the point of that? Do you feel better about yourself? Beyonce was mortified, TaySwift was clearly shaken up. Congrats, Kanye! I doubt you'll ever be invited back to anything again.
God, why does Kanye West have to be black? Sorry, I'm upset. Hate stuff like this.

So, Close!

Faithful followers will know that I love Skins, from BBCAmerica. Love it, it's one of my favorite television shows. So, when I read that it was coming to the US, I texted my best frands to inform them...
But, then I did my research.
"MTV is to create an American version of hit E4 teen drama Skins and has promised to "preserve the authenticity" of the UK version, which included graphic scenes of drug taking, drinking, swearing and casual sex." Got that from UK newspaper, the Guardian.
MTV is lying. Unless they plan on showing Skins on HBO it is not possible. It just isn't. You can't even say the F word on television.
I'm not sure what I expected, but Skins was so close to being available to my friends. Guess, I'm going to have to wait til thanksgiving again.
-TM
Theo. How many times must we have this conversation? Don't text until you know the facts! I was so excited! Now I must live with disappointment until I borrow your Skins episodes.

Alexa, My Hero.
As one of our sister blogs, aWAKEning reported earlier, Alexa Chung is the ish. After I read their article, I was curious, and caught the show one day.Now I have to warn: before this show, I had a strict absolutely no-MTV policy. Their shows
provoke an uncontrollable anger in me, and I have learned that it's better for those around me if I stay away. The Real World (they were terrible after Hawaii), Parental Control? Remember that one where someone would go on a date with your mom and then decide who they wanted to go out with? Interesting social experiments, I admit, but horrible, horrible examples of humanity. A showcase of people who need to be neutered.I made an exception for It's On With Alexa Chung, and I am so glad I did. She is so funny! Maybe it's her British accent, or her awesome clothes...it's all of it. She is just the ultimate ish.
Alexa Chung is my new hero, joining Zooey Deschanel. Oddly enough they are both dating musicians. Does that say something about me?
I am currently watching on Top Chef with Zooey as a guest. Will blog about that later.

16 and Pregnant.
I got sucked in. Right now, as I am typing this, I'm watching the show
This isn’t the first episode, I saw the cheerleader that was still as size zero about five months in.
She and her mother are pregnant. Both of their boyfriends live there with them. I forgot to mention that this is her grandmother’s house, who is now sleeping on couch.
But, dammit, then it happened. They cannot afford to move out- their faces crushed me. And then the news that they were being kicked out of their current place. I was, honestly, on the verge of tears. Then, both pregnant women went off on the grandma (who is the only one with a full time job).
The tears were gone. And, I am pissssed.
How did this make it to television? Shouldn’t this people be likeable?
The 16 year old’s brother is named Taccoa. Gross. What.
I’m not writing about this anymore.
She should have stayed in school.
Okay, I kept watching. They named the baby Weston after the father, who is really the saving factor of the show. He's cute, too. Sucks to be him? Harsh. Memaw said it best. "They are old enough to have sex, they should be able able to take care of a baby."
