All About True Blood, Cherie.

It is just about that time. True Blood is about to start again. Love it. 

I bit the bullet last summer and burned through all the books by Charlaine Harris, and they are fantastic, of course, I'm just hoping it won't spoil anything for me. It was a tough call. But I think a good one. Sometimes it can be a little "What the eff??" for me, so this actually might help.

"True Blood" Season 3 Trailer.

I cannot wait for June 13. "True Blood" is the best show. Underrated aspect though- the music. It's awesome.

True Blood Returns!

Season three of "True Blood" kicks off on Sunday June 13. That will make a happy birthday for my sister- amazing present, don't you think?

More Jason Stackhouse, what else could anyone ask for?

Earlier this year, it was reported that Southland stud Kevin Alejandro joined the cast. He’ll play Jesus, an orderly who takes care of Lafayette’s mother and gets romantically involved with Lafayette.

"Flight" Flying Away.

"Flight of the Conchords" will not be back for a third season, as announced yesterday.

Bret, Jemaine and James (co-creator/director) said "we’ve noticed the less we say about the future of the show, the more people want to talk about it, so in an effort to reverse this trend we are today announcing that we won’t be returning for a 3rd season. We’re very proud of the two seasons we made and we like the way the show ended. We’d like to thank everyone who helped make the show and also everyone who watched it. While the characters Bret and Jemaine will no longer be around, the real Bret and Jemaine will continue to exist."

They will be missed, although this is a huge disappointment considering their final album was a less than stellar farewell. Read my review for the Observer here.

New Characters on True Blood.

In the next season of "True Blood", some new characters will be added into the mix, and I can't wait.

Apparently Sam Merlotte's long lost brother, Tommy Mickens, is described as "a grungy but handsome man in his early 20's". He also seems to share Sam's shape- shifting tendancies.

There are of course new vamps joining the cast, including a Czechoslovakian dancer named Yvetta who gets all clingy with Eric (back off bitch), Franklin Mott, who tangles with Tara, Talbot who helps Bill out of a jam and an orderly named Jusus Velasquez. All gorgeous, naturally.

Tara's mother also starts dating the reverend. Weird? Yes. But that's the "True Blood" we know and love.

True Blood has Gone to the (Were)wolves.

So Alan Ball has confirmed that "True Blood" will be introducing werewolf Alcide next season as a love interest. Also appearing next season will be Denis O'Hare as the vampire king of Mississippi to play opposite the (thankfully) recurring character of Louisiana Vampire Queen Evan Rachel Wood.

I've been brainstorming who would be a great werewolf for the show. You know I have. So here are some of my ideas:
-Steven Straight: I wanted him for Jacob, he would be better in "True Blood" anyways.
-Henry Cavill: (above) I want him for everything, so he has to get thrown in there. He would be so awesome.
-Shia LaBeouf: I hate myself, but...yeah. I am ashamed.
-Jim Sturgess: He's got that scruffy pale thing going on.

Wouldn't it be hysterical if Robert Pattinson was Alcide? So funny. He maybe looks a little too young, but still. Twi's would freak.

Golden Kate.

AGH! Love love love love HBO miniseries. They're the best, and with Kate Winslet in one? It's going to be phenomenal. I mean, if Drew Barrymore, the poor man's Kate, can pull it off with a modicum of success, Kate is going to kick it into high gear.

Remember John Adams? Loved that miniseries. Laura Linney was outstanding. HBO always picks the best female leads for these things.

Kate is about to embark on a remake of Mildred Pierce, originally played by Joan Crawford, who won an Academy Award in 1945 for her portrayl.

Perhaps Kate is looking to reel in her second golden statue?
