ESPN Really Needs to Work on Their Skills with the Ladies.

If this were a college party, ESPN would be alone in the corner talking about fantasy football. The dorks on "The Big Bang Theory" know how to talk to a lady compared to these guys. Every few years a huge gaffe or sex scandal- they just can't get it right when it comes to women.

That aside, ouch. That hurts ESPN. What have women commentators ever done to you, besides trying to succeed? Oh wait. That's it.

Either way, big mess up for the network.

So basically, until Tuesday ESPN had a place on their website where views could go to complain about their female commentators.

Megan Soisson, a University of Pennsylvania student, and Sports Editor for their paper The Daily Pennsylvanian discovered the option when she was looking into why a major basketball game against Harvard would not be shown. She was directed to this content page.

“I was really shocked about it and upset because I’m a female sportswriter, so it’s like one of my dreams to be a sideline reporter — and to see there was a specific area to comment against female reporters was upsetting,” Soisson told Mashable in an interview.

Weiner Jr On the Way.

According to The New York Times, Congressman Anthony Weiner's wife, Huma Abedin, is pregnant with their first child.

That is probably the worst timing ever.

They report,

Ms. Abedin, 35, is in the early stages of pregnancy, according to three people with knowledge of the situation.
The pregnancy, which the couple has disclosed to close friends and family, adds a new dimension to questions about the future of their marriage.
Mr. Weiner, 46, has admitted to engaging in salacious online conversations with at least six women over the last few years, including an incident last month in which he sent a photograph of himself in underwear to a college student in Washington state. He apologized to his wife and declared that they have no intention of splitting up.
“We will weather this,” Mr. Weiner said on Monday, during his emotional news conference. “I love her very much, and she loves me.”
Huma Abedin is a longtime aid to Hillary Clinton, which has lost its irony because of how many politician's have had sex scandals, and left for a trip with her to Northern Africa today.

Probably the place you want to be while all of this is going on.

Here We Go Again...

What will happen tonight? Something has to, MTV's ratings depend on it. Will Kanye confront Taylor? Will Taylor sing a song about Kanye???

He's been tweeting his remorse- probably egging on the hype more than the gossips.

Have I mentioned I was on his side? Beyonce really did have the better video, and I've heard from some good sources that Taylor is a demanding be-yotch. Ie a friend who was assigned to be her bodyguard/bitch boy at the ND game last week.

We soon shall see.

Ansari, McBride Have New Project.

Mandate Pictures has picked up a project pitched by Aziz Ansari and "30 Rock" writer Matt Hubbard. Ansari is attached to the project along with Danny McBride of "Pineapple Express" fame. Harris Wittels who writes for "Parks and Recreation" will pen the script. McBride is also producing the project alongside David Gordon Green, Jody Hill and Matt Reilly through their Rough House banner. The production company has a first-look deal with Mandate.

While Ansari and McBride both held small roles in the Seth Rogen-starring "Observe and Report" in 2009, but the two comedians did not share screen time. Recently, Ansari and McBride were tapped to co-star in "30 Minutes or Less" an upcoming comedy from "Zombieland" director Ruben Fleischer about a junior high school teacher (Ansari) who is thrust into an explosive situation alongside his friend, a pizza delivery man. McBride is rumored to play a goon who straps a bomb to the delivery man's chest in order to motivate him to rob a bank. "30 Minutes or Less" is currently in pre-production.

I love Aziz. His tweets are why I stay on Twitter. Click here to see.

Hockey Night in...L.A.

For some reason it makes me feel really great that Corey Monteith is wearing this jacket again. It's kind of a 'celebrities- they're just like US' moment. He re-wears his geeky Canada wear. Adorable.

Canucks advanced in the series the other night. On second thought, it kind of weird me out that he doesn't have any Canucks clothing after living in BC his whole life.

Hearts Break... Everywhere

Lots of Glee coming your way! It's bittersweet really. I, truly, just miss it so much. Anyways, paps caught Glee star Cory Monteith blowing with Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez. Of course, you know I love Taylor Swift and Selena seems like a sweetheart too. I love when celebrities can be friends and instead of just share eating disorders (ex. Nicole Ritchie and Lindsay Lohan).

Since, Award season rumors have been swirly about Canadian cutie Montieth and country star Swift. But, now, it seems like we've got pictures of a group date. Did you hear that? That noise was girls (and John Mayer) stabbing themselves with a fork and screaming, "WHYYYY?!" I like this. I'm not going to get my hope up too high because I'm sure they're just friend now, but I'm looking for a new favorite couple to replace Sandra and He-Who-Won't-Be-Named.

Ah, to be young and in like. Cory later tweeted, "I think I sprained my shin bowling." And, yes. They do follow each other on twitter. =]

Coco On the Go-Go.

CONAN O'BRIEN IS GOING ON TOUR!

In classical Conan style, he announced it via Twitter, and it is appropriately called "The Legally Prohibited From Being Funny on Television Tour".

See if your city made the cut after the jump:

'Twitter'. Yeah, Sure.

I officially was wrong about Twitter. I love it. Now I get all these great "Glee" insider pictures/info! How could I have been in the dark so long?

Or maybe that's what 'Twitter' wants me to think. If that is even it's real name.

(follow me on twitter HERE. And no, this does not count as me being a total Perez Hilton)

Community Twitter.

So, I now have a me/popYEAH! twitter. I always SWORE it would never happen, but I've got this little baby blog to think about, ya know? Some things are more important than your ideals and morals.

One of our mission statements is, and I quote, "To spread popYEAH! to the world...in a non- disease kind of way." I am simply living up to that mission.

I do however, swear I won't pull a Perez and be super annoying about it. Follow HERE. Do or do not- your choice, I won't beat you into submission by putting it at the end of every post.

Anyways, the upside is that now I can follow celebs, and I learned this info from Joel McHale's  twitter. "Community" has been picked up for another season! I mean, we all knew it would probably happen as one of the best comedies of the season, but it's still exciting as my first twitter discovery.
He posted this five hours ago, which is...I don't know when in California. Too much math for me.
We're out celebrating the pick up. We all are remarkably sober. it's still early http://tweetphoto.com/13879065
Ok, I am going to say it was...midnight-ish when that was posted. Don't hold me to it.

OMG- new realization. I can follow Miley Cyrus and get my daily dose of the ultimate twitter twat every day. It's the little things, really...

The Tweets are Silent Tonight

Lindsay Lohan is not tweeting tonight. Would you like know my opinion on this? Because, she was offered the role of Jade (the stripper) in The Hangover. It won Best Motion Picture - Comedy or Musical, beating Nine, Julie & Julia, (500) Days of Summer, and It's Complicated. She turned down the role after her agent fiercely campaigned for her. So, her tweets are silent, but they'll pick up tonight because she's near by. Last night, she was photographed with Adam Lambert at some event in Beverly Hills. The girl knows hot wot work a party circuit.

Super Sweet Glee.

This is a promo pic for this week's episode of "Glee", called "Wheels", appropriately enough. No idea why they're all in wheelchairs, but I love the bake sale angle. Who hasn't done a bake sale?

Even though I despise the twitter-sphere, I couldn't help myself but to check out Cory Monteith after he posted this picture from a photo shoot earlier today. It's Matthew Morrison wearing some sort of Vegas showgirl...hat? Not sure what you would actually call that.

Perhaps a Vegas field trip is in for the Glee club from Ohio?

Anyways, I skimmed his posts a little and this made me crack up, it's so true:
Sue Sylvester does not go 'hunting', because that kind of terminology implies the possibility of failure. Sue Sylvester goes killing.

Gotta love "Glee".

Twitter Torture.

I knew there was a reason I liked Edward Norton. We both feel the same way about Twitter. The better thing about him is that he can put aside his pride for a greater cause. I probably would not.

He told Parade magazine:
"I haven't personally really engaged in a lot of this new kind of social networking stuff like Twitter or Facebook or MySpace. I mean, the notion of people following what I am doing every day is like torture for me. It's absolutely the last thing that I'm looking for. It seems to me to be really just about social chatter."

But Edward is opening up a Twitter account to detail his marathon training for the Maasai Wilderness Conservation Trust, and added that,
"It's a good example of a way that you can turn that platform into something where you actually can accomplish something good. It's my first attempt. We're putting our running training log on Twitter. You can see can see pictures too on the site there. The trust conserves the wildlife and culture of the Maasai tribe of Kenya, Africa.”

He is a better person than I. Twitter is a no-go for me. It's right above having my skin slowly buffed off by a nail file and right below being chased by killer aunts like in the third Indiana Jones.

OMGEEE FREAKING AAAA

First, Rihanna has a twitter. Her first and only tweet - "The wait is Ova. Nov 23 09"

But, more importantly - HER NEW ALBUM IS COMING ON IN NOVEMBER. AHHHHHH... If you didn't know, this is me freaking out. I'm so excited. Rihanna puts out the most legit CD's. By that, I mean, I can listen to the entire thing... on random. That's a huge thing for me.

-TM, so freaking excited.

No Twitter Quitter.

So funny. So funny. I like Jimmy Fallon. I feel like he can be a little annoying sometimes, but...this is funny.

Holding out hope

Not a fan of Jessica Simpson, but I feel for her here. On Monday night, Jessica's five year old dog, Daisy, was taken by coyotes.

She tweeted about the event almost immediately:

"My heart is broken because a coyote took my precious Daisy right in front of our eyes. HORROR! We are searching. Hoping. Please help!"

I totally feel for her. Dogs can be the best companions. And, if you'll recall, the past five years have been tough on Jessica. She's been through three break ups (including, one divorce), weight scrutiny and a less then stellar country music album. That dog was the only thing that stayed with her.
Well, I really hope that they find her!!
-TM

Ok, if my dog was taken, the first thing I would do would NOT to tweet about it. What the heck is that going to do? Get off your ass and try to find your dog. Maybe I would tweet about it LATER, but not first thing. This is what I hate about Twitter.

Fug Mug.

This is John Mayer's mugshot from 2001 when he was arrested for driving with a suspended license. John challenged TMZ's head boss Harvey Levin to find the mugshot, and if he did, John would donate 25,000 to the charity of Levin's choice. I might add, all of this was done over Twitter, which is of course, slightly more binding than a pinky swear but slightly less than double doggie dare.

Don't ever let John Mayer tell you he hates the limelight. The paparazzi are his friends. Now that he doesn't have Jennifer Aniston anymore he has to resort to this to get some attention.

Well, it was a big to-do because TheSmokingGun.com found the mug shot first, and TMZ was...displeased. And I quote:

"Bottom line--here's what John said on Twitter: 'if Harvey Levin at TMZ can produce my mugshot, I will pay 25k to the charity of his choice'. We found the mugshot, so pay up John."

Doesn't this picture look like one of those 'face in the hole' things? Legit or not legit, that is the question.

Shaq throws down a twitterifc gauntlet

Love Shaq, love him so much.

He just cracks me up and I can't wait for him to retire and do commentary because I'll be hanging off of every word he says. Do I have a crush? No, not at all. He's like a three year old, I can't understand a lot of what he says, he's some what disgusting and totally self centered, but then they give you a sticker and it's all okay. I love him like that.

But, anyways, Shaq is a twitter whore. He loves it and probably uses it like texting. And, now that he has a show to promote, "Shaq Vs" (bad title, I'm waiting for... the rest of the sentence), he's taken it upon himself to find fellow athletes he can compete against.

Most recently:

"Dear David Beckham. I know you have heard about my Shaq Vs show, anyway u will never score a goal on me. I challenge you, lil' man. David Beckham, I know you hear me. Don't be scared, don't make me call u out. Don't make me Tweet to two million people that yur scared of Shaq."

My money is totally on Becks, but Shaq will get his ratings cause if he can do one thing he can hype.
