Johnny Depp, Je t'aime.

Le sigh. You're looking at the main reason I love magazine cover come-out days. Every now and then you get something you actually WANT to look at.

He's in their 'Most Stylish Men in the World' issue, and Johnny Depp is just the beginning. There's also Brad Pitt, Anderson Cooper, Robert Pattinson...and many more. Le sigh. Love. I never used to gush over Johnny until I started watching '21 Jump Street'. Best descision I ever made.

Brad Pitt: The Early Years.

Brad Pitt. Has never really done it for me, but my jaw totally dropped when I saw this. Brad on "21 Jump Street", which, thanks to my epic journey through the series, I was able to spot. Totally unexpected.

That's right- Johnny Depp and Brad Pitt. Together. Brad's hair is...well, classically '80s. Just check out the clip I made below. If you want to watch the whole thing, it's worth it. Trust, Jump Street is not the type of show you have to watch in order.

Dark Shadow's Set to Film.

Producer Graham King has revealed that the Tim Burton remake of the 1960's gothic soap opera "Dark Shadows" starring Johnny Depp is set to start filming in the fall of next year.

Johnny Depp has a lot on his plate- about four movies on the horizon that I can recall, inlcuding the fourth "Pirates" movie.

Cannot wait- my mom, sister and I watched "Dark Shadows" one night when we got it from Blockbuster. SO trippy. Not sure how they are going to manage to make it any darker.

Staying Politically Correct

I found this video funny. We love Johnny Depp, but these kids are scary... to say the least. Like, I might have nightmares about that. For real. One of the kids even looks like Hitler! Depp handles himself very well, because I would have either wet myself or I'd be scared to death. These are kids Japanese- greeting him on Public Enemies. I bet I'd be a super star in Japan. Tall and black, I could probably pass for Michelle Obama. It's been scientifically proven that we have trouble distinguishing people of a different race (from ourselves) apart.

He's totally lying when he calls them cute and sweet. They look demented an murderous.

Ok, I was totally like, 'what is she talking about? They're so cute!' Then the music started. NIGHTMARES. I will be having nightmares tonight. I need to watch "The Goonies" again so I don't run screaming from the next Asian kid I see on the street.

Johnny Depp and Pancho Villa.

Johnny Depp is apparently in "advanced negotiations" to star in Emir Kusturica's "Seven Friends of Pancho Villa and the Woman with Six Fingers," a biopic about...well, Pancho Villa.

Johnny Depp would be a great Pancho Villa, non? Kind of doofy, but in a great way. Actually, pretty much like Jack Sparrow without the pirate. Selma Hayek is set to star as well, most likely as the 'Six Fingered Lady'. Javier Badem was also supposedly in talks at one point, but his involvement now is unknown.

However, with Depp busy filming "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" and "The Tourist" until 2010, it isn't set to film until 2011.

Into the Great Wide Open.

Johnny Depp. The ultimate Le SIGH. He just keeps getting cooler. He is making his music video directorial debut on Tuesday in Herts, England, directing the new vid for British band Babybird.

That band's stock just went UP. Le sigh. Johnny loves his music- remember when he played Eddie in Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers video for "Into the Great Wide Open"? So classic. The video is like, 12 minutes long because they had so much great footage.

Hmm. That makes two Tom Petty references today. Weird.

A Very Important Date.

I am so excited for this movie. Alice in Wonderland has always been one of my favorites, and Tim Burton and Johnny Depp together are genius. Total genius. Can't wait.

The weird thing is, that ever since I've started watching True Blood everything has become a vampire metaphor for me. That's what I related it to when I first saw this trailer...which leads me to think, why hasn't Tim Burton done Vampires yet? Zombies and other dead things, yes, but in all this Twilight mania, why hasn't he done something to comment on it? Perhaps it is yet to come.

About this project though, Tim Burton told the Los Angeles Times,
"It's a funny project. The story is obviously a classic with iconic images and ideas and thoughts. But with all those movie versions, well, I've just never seen one that's had any impact to me. It's always just been a series of weird events."

On that note, here is one of my still favorite Alice versions, Tom Petty's Don't Come Around Here No More music video. Totally 80's. It's the best. Petty as the Mad Hatter...classic.

The movie comes out March 5, 2010.

How Could I Not Have Known?

I am in love with Johnny Depp. It's like in Pride and Prejudice, when all of a sudden, Lizzy just realizes that she was in love with Darcy, all the while.

Well, not quite, but you get the idea.

That quiet smile, unassuming. He looks slightly surprised when people laugh at his little jokes. He's maybe a bit nervous, he keeps fiddling with his rings, running his hands through his hair. But it's adorable how he laughs with David, a genuine laugh with a quick clap.

Just a genuine, nice, unassuming guy. Normally I would find that pirate/gypsy thing he has going annoying, but on him it's real. No imitation. If anything, I now realize that I've just been annoyed with the Johnny imitators. He is the real deal. Even David knows it. He and everyone else wants to be Johnny's Bahamian buddy. Hang out with him in that brackish lake on his private island. Not fishing, while watching out for barracudas.

He also has new tattoo on his arm that he got while filming The Rum Diaries back in April, that says "Silence exile cunning", a quote from Portrait of the Artist As a Young Man by James Joyce. Le sigh. More reason to love him- not many men can realistically pull off tattoos. That and the $4000 tip he gave a grateful waiter at a restaurant a few days ago.

The downside of this happy moment in my day? Some idiot scheduled Megan Fox on the same night as Johnny, so that gross swamp thing probably got to meet him. Ugh. I was lukewarm on her, and then I started watching this and became immediately and permanently disgusted with her.

She starts off condoning dropping out of school, claiming she has "problems with authority" in that whiny voice that I don't know how anyone could listen to even in an hour and a half movie. But wait- she graduated top of her class in correspondence school. Beauty and brains.

She also is a liar. Says her first job was Confession of a Teenage Drama Queen with Lindsay Lohan. We all know that it was Holiday in the Sun with Mary- Kate and Ashley. You're not fooling anyone Megan Fox. We will always remember.

I've always hated this sentiment, but of anyone, she truly just needs to sit and be pretty.

Johnny et Marion ègale de perfection. Le sigh.

Public Enemies is coming out a week from tomorrow. I am so excited. I've never really been le fou for Johnny the way most of the world is, I just love his work. Never understood why. I think probably because I am not able to delude myself to think that I could ever be amazing enough to deserve him...so I use slight indifference as a coping mechanism.

Marion does not have this problem. She is totally on his level, and I'm kind of rooting for them as a couple, even though I love him and Vanessa Paradis, Johnny and Marion would be like...Brad and Angelina who?

"Johnny Depp is a very, very nice guy. I was very nervous but he was very protective of me and if you really want to know, he is a very, very good kisser."-Marion Cotillard

Le sigh.
