What Skin Color Do You Want?
This is sick. I would totally trade my skin color for Theo's. Reasons: I could stop worrying about sunscreen so much. And people would stop making fun of me when I say, "This is so wack." Even Theo.
But on the real (another thing I could say) this is crazy that little kids are already starting to think and see things this way! Did you know that most black little girls prefer white Barbies to the black Barbie? (sidenote, Barbies in general are messed up)

Shakira 360.
I love Shakira. She's such a rocking role model. I love how involved she is getting in this issue, and she makes some great points. It's kind of difficult to follow her arguments at some points because of the language barrier, but that makes it all the more intense doesn't it?
Watch the video to learn more about what is going on in Arizona right now.

Outside Looking In on Anderson.
Anderson Cooper...how many times does he have to prove that he's the coolest person EVER? The cover of Outside magazine...how rugged of him.
I love it when we have things in common- it makes me feel more...right. If Anderson says it, it's true. I'm against people who jump out of airplanes too. Sorry Abs. Taking senseless risks is such a weird impulse to me. Anderson's right- why not take that and go someplace where there's real life or death situations going on?
Then again, I am a coward, so I really have no place to say anything except COURTNEY CALLED IT, ULTIMATE EDITION. Anderson, wearing a jean shirt on the cover of this magazine. Anderson knows what's going on in fashion. If he's wearing it, it's a trend. He can do no wrong.
On overcoming fear: “I don’t believe you should be ruled by fear in anything in life. I don’t like anything that scares me, I prefer to face it head-on and get over it. Anyone who says they’re not scared is a fool or a liar or both. I just don’t want that fear in my stomach to be a part of my life, so I work to eliminate it.”
On skydiving being senseless: “I have no interest in jumping out of an airplane, or any of the things people do for thrills to push the limit and all that. To me, that seems foolish. There’s no point. If people are suffering in a place, to me, it’s not a question of whether I’m going to go or not. It’s a question of how fast can I get there.”
On springing into action while in Haiti: “You suddenly find yourself in a situation where, you say … what do you do? There are some journalism purists who say that you do nothing, that you just watch and report, and I certainly understand that. But in the case of a little boy who got hit in the head with a cement block, no one was helping him. He couldn’t get up. ...Blood was pouring from his head. It was a split second decision to take him out of the situation.”
Le sigh.

Anderson Cooper, Haiti Heroics.
It's official: Anderson Cooper is THE coolest person on the planet, no doubt. Sorry about the blood if you're sensitive, but it just has to be shown.
Anderson is in Haiti right now, covering the aftermath of the earthquake, and while there, they saw looting going on. The looters broke into a store, and threw a concrete block off of the roof, where it hit a small boy in the head.
Anderson immediately grabbed the boy and carried him off, and below is Anderson's account of the event. To see and read more, click HERE.

I saw him collapse. More chunks of concrete were being thrown at the looters on the roof. The injured boy couldn't get up. He'd try and then collapse again. Blood was pouring from his head. He was conscious but had no control over his body. I was afraid someone on the roof would see him lying there and throw another cinder block piece onto him. I was afraid he'd get killed. No one seemed to be helping him.
I ran to where he was struggling, and picked him up off the ground. I brought him to a spot about a hundred feet away. I could feel his warm blood on my arms. I stood him up, but he was clearly unable to walk. He wiped his bloody face, and I tried to reassure him. He had no idea where he was, and he clearly couldn't walk, so I picked him up again and handed him over to someone behind that makeshift barricade. Tony, the American businessman, gave the boy a wet towel. He was then taken away by someone else. We don't know what happened to him.
I hope he's ok.If you don't like blood, don't watch the video below, but if you think you can, it's really not too bad, and extremely awe-inspiring. Anderson Cooper...what an amazing man.

And Another One Bites the Dust.
A little piece of me just died when I saw this. I know. I know Anderson Cooper is gay. But...I always held out a little hope. It's pathetic. Totally pathetic.
Anyways, this is my Anderson at the Rambagh Palace Hotel in Jaipur, India on Tuesday with "friend" Antoine "Ben" Maisani.
I have to give him this much, my Anderson has good taste. Kid is hot. Maisani runs the East Village bar 'Eastern Bloc' and the two have been spotted together before- biking back in June.
Le sigh. And another one gone, and another one gone...

AC 24/7.
I can't believe I missed this: Anderson Cooper is ABC's top choice to take over for Regis Philbin when he leaves Live with Regis and Kelly in two years. Am so stoked. I have very little patience for Regis, and I only like Kelly when Anderson is on.
Love love love love love Anderson. If this happens, I can watch him in the morning AND at night. Now I sound creepy. Le sigh- now I don't CARE. He is amazing. ABC should be so lucky, just watch. See his little laugh? It gets me every time. We have so much in common- neither of us drink hot things. Also, love a man who can work the word 'umlaut' into a sentance- so sexy.

Baby's in Blue.
This is a picture of Theo and I's love, Anderson Cooper flying to the Helmand Province in Afghanistan to report live from the front lines.Love Anderson, you know this. But seriously, who decided to give him this blue Kevlar vest? With whatever is going on with that little collar thing? This is kind of awkward how color coordinated he is- dude, it's Afghanistan, not a J. Crew catalog.

SO Not Fair.
This is so unfair. Anderson Cooper interviewed Drew Barrymore for a special 60 Minutes report in New York on Thursday. They walked through Times Square along Broadway and ended up at the Ethel Barrymore Theater on West 47th street. Ethel is of course Drew's great-aunt.This is so unfair. So what is he even interviewing her about? Is it just two people with famous family members chatting it up, pointing out buildings named for their families?
I want to be Anderson's bff. Good news is that he doesn't look to be enjoying himself too much, I didn't see a picture of him smiling, and Lord knows Andy loves to crack that adorable little smile.

UPDATE: Love That Anderson Hates Heidi.
UPDATE: Love That Anderson Hates Heidi.
Straight from the whore's mouth.

"Oh my God, I love it. I am so incredibly flattered that he's talking about the first performance I've ever done, that he's talking about me, that he knows who I am. Who gets on CNN? Britney when she shaved her head, gets on CNN. That's all that matters: Heidi, CNN, Anderson Cooper. Done."
UGH. UGH. UGH. I hate it, because she's right. People like this just need to be ignored. Heidi is the ultimate at spinning - the right of turning bad news into good publicity.
Bottom line: Heidi was on CNN. That was painful to type.
-TM
Yeah, honestly, what was Anderson thinking?! Still love him much. So much.

Love That Anderson Hates Heidi.
Maybe hate isn't the word, it's better than hate. He couldn't care less about her other than a funny little quipping point on "The Shot". He's a Vanderbilt for goodness sakes- he has whatever Heidi is desperately clawing to get at bred in him so easily that he is confused as to her existence at all.
Love Anderson. Love Anderson so much. Love that he that he always says what he thinks. I mean, he's a Vanderbilt, he doesn't have to worry about what Heidi Pratt or what Lindsay and Ali Lohan's drinking buddy Dina thinks of him.
Anderson Cooper is just awesome. There are no words to describe it really, but it's like Kelly from The Game said:
"There are some people you just don't turn down- George Clooney, Harrison Ford, Anderson Cooper- gay or straight I just LOVE him!"
